Kundalini Yoga, also known as the householders yoga and the Yoga of Awareness, is a yoga practice that cleanses your body and mind from years of accumulated stress. It opens up your energy centers, strengthens your nervous system, and unifies your mind-body system so that you become more in integrity with your higher Self. Kundalini Yoga has earned its nicknames by its practicality, speed and ease in which it transfers off the mat and brings awareness to the forefront and into your day.
Kundalini Yoga uses asana (movement), mantra (sound), pranayam (breath) and mudra (hand gestures), with emphasis on sound (chanting) meditation as a way to clear, seed and “recode” your mind to create a pathway towards self-trust and ease. Every exercise becomes a moving meditation. It offers you an opportunity to find calm amidst "chaos," preparing you for a much better day.
Sadhana Huddle: 6 to 6:30 am central standard time (livestream)
Sadhana is personal spiritual practice, and it can be done individually and in a group. Group practice creates a connection and interaction through meditation rather than through chat. And, the benefits of the practice increase exponentially through group energy. The difference between group sadhana and a class: Sadhana has a "lead" that tells the group what the next exercise is and keeps time. The lead is also doing the practice. Classes are led by teachers who may do some exercises to demonstrate and to help keep up, but this is not considered their time to practice. In sadhana, there is much less instruction. It's meant to be a quiet space to practice together. In class, the teacher will instruct, observe, offer modifications, inspire, and may share anecdotes. The Sadhana Huddle is a simple, 30 minute practice of breath, mantra, and warm ups to wake up gently and set a more elevating tone and mindset for the day.
Sacred Playground: Yoga & Meditation for Kids (currently: recordings only)
Sacred Playground is our unique program for kids. Our vision is to celebrate and seal their innate wisdom and offer tools that work with their natural ability to be fully present while they still have it so that they continue to have access to it as they get older... as well as to bring them back to their inner compass so that their points of reference come from within. Meditation (taught through breath, sound and movement) brings this wisdom into their bodies, to a more cellular, rather than academic, level.
